Queequeg is one of the colorful main characters in Herman Melville's epic novel Moby Dick. All of the tattoos are authentic Marquesan designs of the period. They were researched using materials from the Museum of Natural History in New York City and the Bishop Museum in Honolulu, Hawaii.
