REVERSE of NELSON & VICTORY

Vice Admiral Horatio, Lord Nelson, KB is one of the most famous and revered figures in Great Britain's history. His impressive string of victories against Napoleon's navy, culminating in victory against the combined French and Spanish fleet, and his death, at the Battle of Trafalgar has made him the stuff of legend. The portrait is based on an unfinished oil sketch of Nelson by John Hoppner. The reverse shows Nelson's flagship HMS Victory as she appeared at the Battle of Trafalgar.
